Software Engineer (full Stack with strong front-end capability)

CloudPeek is building applied and agentic AI for cyber security operations. We are a fast-growing start-up looking for a skilled software engineer to join us for an initial period of three months. We're open to new graduates and experienced practitioners alike. There is great scope for extension and a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

CloudPeek is looking for a front-end-heavy Software Engineer to build real-time security interfaces for incident triage and AI-assisted threat analysis. You will develop sophisticated investigation workflows while ensuring seamless integration with our Python/FastAPI backend.

Tech Stack

• Frontend: React 18+ (Next.js 15 App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui.
• State/Testing: TanStack Query, Jest, React Testing Library.
• Backend/DevOps: Python (FastAPI), Pydantic, Docker.

Key Responsibilities

• Interactive Dashboards: Build complex data tables and real-time event viewers.
• AI Workflows: Create human-in-the-loop interfaces for security analysis.
• Integration: Work closely with REST APIs and containerised deployments.

Requirements

Must Have:

• Expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Strong Tailwind CSS and component-driven development skills.
• Experience with REST API integration and performance optimisation.

Highly Desirable:

• Familiarity with Python/FastAPI and Pydantic models.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• A testing-first mindset (Unit/Integration/E2E).

About You

You write clean, maintainable code and prioritise UX-including accessibility and performance. You are comfortable diving into backend code and can hit the ground running in a modern, fast-paced environment.
