We're looking for a Data Business Analyst to play a key role in a major data migration and modernization program. This is an opportunity to work on a cutting-edge initiative leveraging AI and modern data platforms to transform legacy systems into a future-ready architecture.

What You'll Do

Phase 1: Foundation & Discovery

  • Legacy Inventory & Triage: Lead discovery of 40-50 legacy sources and thousands of tables/jobs. Run workshops with business stakeholders to classify assets (Retire, Archive, Deprecate, Strategize).
  • Business Impact Analysis: Map complex transformation logic to business outcomes, ensuring AI-driven templates preserve critical functionality.
  • Wave Planning: Organize data products into migration waves based on business priority, dependencies, and resource constraints.

Phase 2: Build & Pilot

  • Logic Validation: Partner with the AI/Automation Lead to confirm GenAI-generated logic explanations are accurate and clear.
  • Pilot Support: Work closely with the first migration team to identify onboarding challenges and improve documentation.

Phase 3: Scale & Support

  • UAT Coordination: Act as the bridge between the Migration Factory and business teams. Manage UAT schedules for 50-60 data products across multiple units.
  • Defect Triage: Separate technical bugs from business logic issues and route accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Sign-off: Own the Ready for Production process, ensuring confidence in migrated data.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong SQL and ability to navigate complex data lineages.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure) and ingestion tools (ADF and similar).
  • Interest or experience with Generative AI tools for code analysis and documentation.

Soft Skills

  • Skilled in workshop facilitation with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset to streamline onboarding and migration processes.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments where roles shift by project phase.
