A leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced Lead Infrastructure Architect to work on High Level infrastructure designs, in collaboration Business Analyst and Solutions Architect teams.

Key Responsibilities for the Lead Infrastructure Architect:

• Contribute to the enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring infrastructure architecture aligns with broader business and technology goals.
• Provide architectural leadership across infrastructure-related initiatives, including the development and review of high-level and detailed designs, technical specifications, and solution blueprints.
• Provide strategic input into infrastructure-related decisions, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and operational efficiency are Embedded in solution designs.
• Ensure alignment with architectural principles and governance, working across the Digital Directorate and wider business to embed best practices and compliance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to define and maintain enterprise-wide standards and patterns.
• Maintain and evolve infrastructure domain roadmaps, ensuring they remain aligned with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
• Contribute to risk management and business continuity planning, ensuring infrastructure architecture supports robust disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
• Support transformation initiatives within the Digital Architecture function, including the evolution and maintenance of infrastructure-related architectural data within the EA toolset.
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their relevance and potential impact on infrastructure strategy and recommending adoption where appropriate.

Core Microsoft Expertise:

• Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).
• Group Policy Management.
• Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) - roles, services.
• DNS, DHCP, WINS - Microsoft core networking services.
• File Services, DFS, Print Services.
• End User and Collaborative tools - O365 suite including Teams and SharePoint.
• Azure Cloud Environment.

Preferred skills and experience for the Lead Infrastructure Architect:

• Entra and hybrid identity integrations (Entra Connect, SSO, MFA).
• Server Virtualisation, specifically VMware technologies such as ESX, NSX.
• Desktop Virtualisation (VDI), specifically Omnissa Horizon.
• Enterprise Load balancing, specifically F5 BigIP and VMware ALB.
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM)/Intune.
• Security best practices and familiarity with Microsoft security baselines
