Data Engineer - Outside IR35 - SOLE AGENT

Hybrid: 2 Days in the office per week.

Our client in the Luxury Travel sector, require a talented Data Engineer to join their team. You will design, build, and maintain companie's Data Warehouse and core data pipelines. This role is responsible for integrating data from booking, CRM, fleet, finance, and marketing systems into a trusted single source of truth. You will build high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards to support business insight and performance monitoring.

YOUR SKILLS:

• Strong experience designing and building Data Warehouses.
• Experience building Power BI dashboards and DAX models.
• Azure data stack experience.
• Excellent SQL and dimensional modelling skills.
• ETL/ELT development experience in cloud environments.
• Experience integrating diverse operational systems (APIs, SaaS, databases).
• Ability to support analytics and BI teams.
• Strong documentation and governance capability.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

Architect and implement the central Data Warehouse.

• Develop scalable dimensional models and star schemas for key travel domains: bookings, guests, vehicles, guides, finance, and commercial metrics.
• Create optimised semantic models for Power BI.

Data Integration & ETL/ELT Development

• Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines (ADF, Synapse, Databricks).
• Automate ingestion from booking platforms, CRM systems, fleet/vehicle tracking systems, finance data sources, and marketing platforms.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and reconciliation across all sources.

Reporting & Power BI Dashboard Development

• Build high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards for teams across the business.
• Develop reusable datasets and semantic models for consistent reporting.
• Ensure clear, accurate KPIs such as revenue, bookings, occupancy equivalents, guest movements, conversion rates, and fleet utilisation.
• Enable self-service analytics through well-structured datasets and strong governance.

Data Governance & Data Management

• Map the enterprise data landscape.
• Maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and lineage documentation.
• Implement data validation rules and data quality frameworks.
• Support secure and compliant data handling across multiple countries.

Cross-Business Collaboration

• Partner with Reservations, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Leadership.
• Translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
