A leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced Nutanix Infrastructure Architect to work on High Level infrastructure designs, in collaboration Business Analyst and Solutions Architect teams.

They seek an experienced Nutanix Infrastructure Architect to be responsible for IT Roadmap and Solutioning covering Nutanix.

Your core function as the Nutanix Infrastructure Architect will be to configure a new Nutanix platform, including capacity management and applications management.

As the Nutanix Solutions Architect, you should:

• Have a broad understanding of all Nutanix Hyperconverged solutions.
• Interpret business requirements and produce technical solution documentation.
• Champion Nutanix technologies.
• Interact with other teams and departments on Nutanix solutions.
• Ensure quality and reliability of the delivered solutions and adherence to best practices and standards.
• Constantly collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams supporting them to maintain and operate the environment.
• Ensuring adherence to the SDLC processes and other company prescribed engineering and release management practices.
• Experience required for the Nutanix Infrastructure Architect position:
• This is a programme level Nutanix Solutions Architect which will involve rolling Nutanix out to the wider business (long term contract opportunity).
• Ideally you will have strong technical, delivery and implementation skills and experience.

Responsibilities for the Infrastructure Architect position:

• The Infrastructure Architect needs to be able to work on the high level design for infrastructure and a number of our business change projects.
• You must be comfortable taking that into lower level design with the solution build teams.
• You will work in collaboration with solution architects, application developers and IT ops.
• Provide architectural oversight and support for the application and infrastructure environment.
• Capacity planning, availability, performance, house-keeping, monitoring.
• Using Component-Based Architectures and also Application Packages.
• Architecting new IT Solutions as required.
• Designing and maintaining the application solution delivery and infrastructure environment.
• Liaising with 3rd party product providers to understand future enhancements, product roadmaps, new developments and communicate as required to business, user and IT Stakeholders.
• Reviewing proposals to enhance or modify the configuration or functionality of firewalls, servers, applications, databases and other critical elements of the infrastructure.
• Leading technical teams as appropriate in application development/support activities.

Additional experience required for the Nutanix Infrastructure Architect position:

• Experience of end-to-end application solution architecture/design methods and patterns for example design in areas such as COTS, Web/Digital, operational technologies, back-office and front-office.
• Experience in product evaluation, gap-fit analysis, design, delivery and support.
• Experience in Windows, virtualised hardware and VM (eg Citrix) environments.
• Experience in application integration using services-oriented and/or Middleware approaches.
• Experience in deployment of applications into hosted/data centre environments and associated configuration of application and infrastructure.

Key technologies for the Nutanix Infrastructure Architect to be aware of:

• Nutanix.
• VMWare.
• Hyperconverged/zero trust.
• Both Windows and Linux (RHEL) - Windows Server 2016/2019.
• Oracle/SQLserver.
• Core services are Microsoft AD/Active Directory - DNS/DHCP/MSSQL.
• Java based web server.
• SCCM.
• Useful if you have experience of delivering infrastructure solutions within an agile/devops environment, but Waterfall is the standard.
