Our client is seeking a Technical Author to take the lead on developing clear,
customer-focused content directly from engineering data in formats like HTML, iOS,
and PDF.
Key Responsibilities - Create technical documentation for new products and internal procedures.
- Develop machine manuals, technical bulletins, and training materials.
Highly Desirable - Ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Maintain up-to-date publications and support the Change Control process.
- Knowledge of networking technology.
- Ability to work well with technical subject matter experts.
- Stakeholder management.
- Document management and control.
- Great communication skills
- Creating clear and concise material, taking care of editing and proofreading tasks
- Updating and maintaining a library of technical terminology and documentation
- Revising or rewriting existing technical literature
- Researching and gathering technical information and studying target audiences
- Testing whether users understand newly developed material
- Collaborating with engineers, developers and other technical specialists to ensure that they understand the subject
- Staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry
Skills & Experience - 5-10+ years’ experience in a Technical Author role.
- Strong writing skills.
- Knowledge of M365 suite and related products.
- Degree in Engineering / IT related field or English.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
