Enterprise Business Analyst – Commodities Trading House | Enterprise / Cross-Functional / Gas | £850/Day Outside IR35 | 2-3 days office, LDN

Commodities & Energy Trading House has a large scale, enterprise level transformation launching and therefore needs a Enterprise Business Analyst to come in and help orchestrate this project end-to-end, with a focus around knowledge and experience in Front Office Energy Trading IT and the Gas desk.

Our client is embarking on a large scale transformation project, whereby they will be aligning their sales and retail arms of the business with Trading IT. As a Enterprise Business Analyst, you will work with both front office and middle office users, with direct desk access on the trading floor, gaining exposure across end-to-end trade lifecycle, as well as the sales and retail sides of this business, to create a roadmap for effectively consolidating the three sides of the business.

As an Enterprise Business Analyst, you will be required to perform extensive assessment, requirement gathering, business requirement documentation, workshops running and technical translation to development teams. An understanding the Physical Commodities trading lifecycle is required, and domain knowledge around physical Gas trading, or other equivalent assets is a big preference.

As an Enterprise Business Analyst, you will be required to be proactive in engaging with users and working with them in a collaborative and open manner. You must take ownership of creating structured documentation (e.g. backlogs of user stories) and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individual.

💷 Day rates: Up to £850/Day Outside IR35,

📈 Tenure: 6 months rolling

📍Location of work: Hybrid. 2-3 days from the office, LDN

Duties of the Enterprise Business Analyst:

• Working with the users to identify their needs
• Creating worked examples, mock-ups, test cases or similar to help users understand their requirements and potential solution options
• Performing hands-on system or data analysis to identify changes (e.g. to usage, to configuration or to class-event)
• Able to work in both an Agile and Waterfall methodology
• Assessment, Documentation, Prioritisation, Workshops etc

Experience needed for the Enterprise Business Analyst role

• 5 years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst in Trading
• Physical commodities trading experience – understanding of the physical trading lifecycle
• Enterprise level transformation experience in IT
• Front / middle office knowledge; pricing and valuation (P&L, risk exposure, etc.)
• Agile AND Waterfall experience
