Contract Description

My client is a leading Digital Consultancy, specialising in Cloud Adoption, Digital Transformation & NextGen AI Solutions. We are looking for a Business Analyst to join on an initial 6 month contract basis (possibility to extend beyond), with proven experience working in UK Central Government, GDS framework knowledge, and must be eligible for SC Clearance.

Rate: £340.00 Outside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, user researchers, and developers to define, document, and prioritize user needs.
  • Develop and maintain product backlogs, ensuring clear and actionable requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements.
  • Map user journeys, processes, and systems to support the design of user-centered digital services.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet GDS standards, including preparation for GDS service assessments.
  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on objectives.
  • Support Agile delivery by participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Analyse and document current and future business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working in Agile environments, preferably on government or public sector projects.
  • Strong background in Application development writing user stories
  • Strong understanding of GDS principles, including the Service Standard and Technology Code of Practice.
  • Experience mapping complex business processes and translating them into actionable requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design (UCD) principles and collaboration with UX/UI teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering user-centered outcomes.
