Trade Floor Support

Contract: Circa £250 PD, Outside IR35
Duration: 3 months Initially
Location: London

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Support Engineer to join an exciting Investments team. You will provided dedicated technical support to their trading applications including Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, Dynamo and Burgiss Private Informant along with other bespoke applications.

To be a Key Point of Contact for all Investments related IT issues, incidents, and service requests
To be responsible for installing, configuring and administering all Hardware & Software/Windows based, MAC OS & iOS devices, peripherals, desk phone, printers (MFD), mobile and Networking equipment within the Investments department
To be responsible for diagnosing and resolving all IT related issues and service requests, through telephone, remote, and desk side support.
To maintain accurate Asset Records of hardware and software issued.
To enable Investments Staff to make best use of the IT Business and Service Offerings, through the provision of technical support, software guidelines and identifying other training requirements as appropriate.
To act as an Escalation Point for the department, proving feedback on issues, metrics and knowledge gathered to progress the needs of the Investments team as necessary.

Main Responsibilities:
To serve as a wider point of contact for Investments Users, accurately recording IT issues made by phone, in person, by email into the Trusts ticketing system Service Now.
To quickly react to, and resolve, Incidents and Service Requests efficiently and within the guidelines set out on the Service Desk and wider IT department.
To provide timely, responsive, detailed updates and feedback with a high level of Customer Service.
To provide in-depth analysis, document & triage, and if required, escalate unresolved Incidents and Service Requests to relevant Internal IT Resolver groups and External 3rd Party support suppliers.
To create experience-based articles and contribute to the Knowledge Base within Service Now relating to Investments support and assist existing support staff.
To assist in the development, ongoing improvement and documentation of new IT processes as required with the Investments Department
To assist in Small to Medium IT Projects ie Upgrades, BCP Maintenance, Year End Reporting as required.
To undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time, including out of hours working.

Experience supporting Investment management/City or equivalent demanding user base
Proven Experience of supporting the following applications:
Thompson Reuters
Burgiss Private Informant
Bespoke Trading Applications and Excel Add-in's
Windows and IOS Support including AD & Jamf
MS Office 365 Administration
Service Now or similar ticketing system
Group Policy & Computer Administration

Citrix and remote support technologies
Cisco Unity Call Manager/VOIP Telephony Experience
Apple Support Essentials/JAMF Remote Support Experience
SCCM Deployment Experience
Power Shell/Virtualisation/Cloud based experience
