Pulse Recruit is supporting the recruitment for a leading global tourism e-commerce brand.


We are seeking an experienced leader who can take charge of a transformative BI strategy. There is a lot of complex work to do and the Director of Business Intelligence will spearhead change and transformation and the analytics roadmap. You will be able to roll up your sleeves when needed as well as be the strategic leader to a team of analytics engineers.


This is an initial 6 month contract (outside IR35) with 2/3 days per week in the central London HQ.


  • Use your extensive background in data solutions and analytics leadership to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency in the tourism sector.


  • Drive impactful data initiatives that optimise processes and significantly improve the customer experience in sightseeing and excursion offerings.


  • Join a team that values mentorship and collaboration, fostering a culture of data-driven insights and shared success across departments in a vibrant travel industry.


  • Employ your strong communication skills to present and implement strategic data solutions to key stakeholders, directly impacting the brand’s growth and innovation in global travel.


Work with cutting-edge BI tools and technologies, including:

  • SQL for data manipulation and reporting
  • Tableau or Power BI for data visualisation and dashboard creation
  • Data warehousing technologies (e.g., Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery)
  • ETL processes with tools like Apache NiFi or Talend
  • Data modelling and database design principles


  • Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics to inform strategic business decisions
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance regulations, ensuring data integrity and security
