On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Senior Service Designer (Outside IR35) until 31/03/2025 based Remotely.

 


The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of government. The Cabinet Office is also the corporate headquarters for the government, in partnership with HM Treasury, and takes the lead in certain critical policy areas. As a Senior Service Designer, your main responsibilities will be:

 


Essential:

  • Plan, design and carry out research activities with users that help the team get a deep understanding of the people that use the service.
  • Share this understanding with the team to inform design and development decisions.
  • Work with the Product Manager and Frontend Developer to design the end-to-end user journey, ensuring the service meets the Gov.uk service standards and works for all users.
  • Help produce content that is easy for users to understand and use.
  • This positions requires Active Security Clearance.

 


Desirable:

  • Previous experience working as a User Researcher
  • Must have experience in helping to design digital services, from an overarching service design aspect in addition to content and interaction design.
  • Must have experience in wireframing frontend designs.
  • Must be able to work within an agile team to deliver effectively and efficiently as part of a group.

 


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
