Responsibilities


Client Relationship Management


o Overseeing all outputs from yourself and your direct reports.

o Act as the primary point of contact between the agency and clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

o Consistently meet or exceed client expectations (e.g. by receiving follow-on work).

o An excellent presenter, able to communicate effectively with senior clients with gravitas.

o Create the conditions for brilliant work and champion that work externally to ensure outstanding client service.


Strategic Planning


o Lead and execute cross channel media recommendations end to end, be it annual planning or bespoke planning projects that ladder up to Global strategy as set by business.

o Challenge and interrogate client briefs to ensure clear direction for team.

o Be able to develop and have a POV on managing the portfolio across various briefs and ensure a fully integrated approach.

o Ensuring that it is fuelled by insights and data that tells a clear story. Pulling in cross-team and senior support as and when required.

o Ensuring every document is ruthlessly quality controlled for excellence and is delivered on time.


Campaign Execution/Reporting


o Oversee the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with the strategic objectives and meet client expectations.

o Ensure timelines and deliverable deadlines are being adhered to by channel specialist teams.

o Monitor and analyse campaign performance, working with relevant teams to gain Insights, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.


Team Leadership


o Responsible for the management, coaching and development for the Planning Manager and Planning Executive (where applicable).

o Overseeing their work and managing reporting requirements, quality controlling output and ensuring actionable insight is delivered.

o Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, promoting the exchange of ideas and best practices.


Finance Management


o Ensure the profitability of the account by managing all financial aspects are accurate and delivered on-time (e.g., reconciliations, payments, billings, financial tracking).


Business Development


o Build a deep understanding and be well versed of the client categories, competition and client’s business in relevant markets in order to understand the challenges and opportunities they face.

o Maintain good relations with external agencies, internal teams & media owners to understand what services and products exist that could help deliver our client’s business KPIs.

o Working with the Business Director/GMD to look for opportunities for driving revenue growth.


Skills & Experience


• Proven experience in a client service / media planning role at manager level, gaining a solid understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising.


• A thorough understanding of all media touchpoints and have the ability to define the tasks for media and content, develop channel roles and investment priorities based around tasks.


• Able to create a good, well thought through deck which requires minimal input from colleagues to make it ‘client ready’.


• You bring an in-depth knowledge and application of core media tools including AdDynamix, TGI, YouGov & MediaExplorer.


• Experience in managing and presenting to senior marketing clients.


• Have proven experience at maintaining and exceeding client objectives and measurement KPIs.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate the complex in a

clear and concise manner.


• A passion for all things digital combined with a drive to stay up to date on the latest industry trends and news.


• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver results.


• A belief in open, candid, and honest communication at all times, both internally and with clients.


• Proven experience of managing a team of 2 or more.
