Contract Description

Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Integration Lead, a six month contract located in Glasgow (home working available during Covid). This contract is outside of IR35.

The Assignment

Working as part of a System Implementation workstream you will be responsible for the delivery of all system integrations required to support the successful introduction of a new smart ticketing and reservations platform.

This assignment provides the opportunity to be involved in a business critical, complex programme where integrations between the new ticketing & reservations system and legacy applications will be key to a successful delivery.

The primary responsibility will be leading the design and development of the integrations required for the implementation of the new ticketing & reservations system - including legacy business systems, applications, website /mobile app and other services.

The role will involve supervising 1-2 developers whilst working closely with the principle supplier and testing team.

Technology stack Required:

  • Microsoft Azure Data and Integration Components:
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Function REST Microservices (NodeJS/C#)
  • Azure API Manager
  • Azure Logic Apps

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Should be familiar with both Event-Driven and Microservice based integration patterns
  • Experience working on the delivery of system integration as part of a major business change project
  • Experience authoring high level and detailed system designs and interface specifications
  • Experience working with third party software solution providers and integrating with legacy business systems, applications and data warehouses
  • Experienced at planning for and delivering complex data integration cutovers and providing post-implementation support
  • Experienced at transitioning projects into BAU support organisations as part of the delivery process
  • Experienced in a variety of delivery methodologies - eg agile, waterfall, RAD
  • Ability to create system designs for developers to work from
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to skilled and experienced developers
  • Strong technical expertise and decision-making skill
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
