Contract Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit .Net/Oracle Developer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£400-450/day (outside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will initially be remote based.

Responsibilities:

• Our client seeks a highly experienced full stack developer / system architect with in depth knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, .NET (and some VB6/COM+) to design and implement the backend integration of new Platform and cross agency integration of systems.
• Design, develop and document solutions to integrate new user portals with backend database and APIs.
• Design, develop and document extension to existing Document Exchange middleware to enable sharing of case management data with partners.
• Design and implement backend integration architecture and APIs to support RRT enabling projects including electronic transfer of documents, website.
• Design, develop and test Oracle packages (PL/SQL) to implement backend
• Undertake technical impact analysis and business intelligence data analytics to inform design and scoping of technical options and solution proposals.
• Provide full documentation of new solutions, including developer on-boarding guide, deployment diagrams, troubleshooting and support reference.
• Assist in producing Transition to Service documentation to ensure the support team can fully own and manage solution.
• Ensure knowledge transfer to the Applications Development team.

• C# .NET, Core
• Rabbit MQ development and administration
• Webserver (IIS) administration & configuration.
• API design and development with .NET Core
• Track record working in a technical point of contact role on Agile software development projects.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience working in the public sector
• Previous experience working in the criminal justice system
• Knowledge of work flow and business processes in the (Scottish) criminal justice system
• Micro Focus COBOL
• Web development. HTML / CSS / Javascript / AJAX.
• Component based Web Frameworks (Angular)
• Experience developing software in a secure network environment processing highly sensitive data and delivering solutions compliant with of Cyber Security standards (NCSC, OWASP, PSNP)
