Programme Managers are the driving force behind Funding Circle’s key projects and programmes. PMs are often embedded into the team they work with and are tasked to ensure teams are aligned with the goals of the project and larger portfolio.

What will you be doing?

The Talent & Location Programme Manager will be embedded within the Technology function, reporting to the Technology Chief of Staff, and driving the definition and execution of the 2022 Talent & Location Strategy. The role will combine coordination, planning and reporting at multiple levels within the organisation, partnering with key stakeholders across Engineering, Platform, Corporate IT, Information Security, People Office, Finance, Procurement, Product, Operations and wider business stakeholders up to and including CxO level.


  • Has total responsibility for delivery across multiple initiatives
  • Take ownership on behalf of wider business - proactively support other teams with delivery and resolve complex issues when required
  • Demonstrate strong program management skills, delivering end to end initiatives independently and only requiring senior business sponsor input by exception
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery of goals and outcomes, leveraging different approaches and techniques
  • Create appropriate governance structure and reporting for groups including steering committees and wider Global Leadership Team
  • Develop and coach cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives are delivered to a high standard of quality
  • Proven experience in portfolio level prioritisation to achieve strategic vision
  • Work with teams using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean and other project management practices


  • Clear, confident communicator to all levels of the business both informally and more formally including with external stakeholders
  • Seen as an advocate across the business for the programme or programmes
  • Demonstrate ability to influence and persuade across the organisation; presents strongly articulated and considered opinions
  • Share knowledge with peers, socialises change and negotiates improvements with larger organisation
  • Mentor and transfer knowledge and skills to team members across the organisation
  • Be the central coordination point between all functional areas and stakeholders (internal and 3rd party) in all geographic areas


  • Identify, develop and regular review of appropriate outcome focused reporting to drive programmes and projects to successful completion
  • Develop and regularly present key metrics to appropriate audience to enable data driven decision making
